Specialist Rehabilitation

NCBA’s rehabilitation team provides registration visits, specialist assessments and training in daily living skills including communication techniques (eg Braille), kitchen skills, mobility (using various canes) and also personal care, eating and drinking. You may be referred for rehabilitation by your hospital eye specialist, optometrist, eye clinic, GP, community nurse or care manager. You can also contact NCBA yourself for advice about your needs. You do not need to be registered blind or partially sighted to use this service, which is provided by NCBA under contract to NHS Care Trust, to help you adjust to your sight loss.
