Equipment & Information
We are always pleased to provide information and advice in person or by phone about equipment and services available to VIPs. Reiver House has a wide range of equipment for demonstration, some of which can be given out on loan. Equipment includes CCTV’s, big button telephones, magnifiers and much more.
We also produce a quarterly magazine, free to Vision Impaired people available in large print, Braille, audiotape or in text for computer use, the book is also available to outside organisations and gives news about NCBA activities and clubs, information about new equipment and useful information about other relevant services.
NCBA welcome visitors to its Resource Centre to view Low Vision Aids and equipment and access information and advice. Opening hours are Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm and Friday 9 am – 4.30 pm. Staff members are available during office hours, Monday to Thursday inclusive from 9 am to 5 pm and on Fridays from 9 am until 4.30 pm.
Visitors no longer need to make appointment, unless they require a low vision assessment (for magnifiers etc)
